Lu's 10 Layered Dip with Corn Tortilla Chips
Hay Hay Hay Ole'! This is a sure fire winner at parties.
Gone in sixty-seconds once they get a taste of this, you can't stop eating this yummy 10 layered dip with torilla chips. They make colored corn tortillas in Red and Green also. Look at your local supermarket for these. They really put the holiday feeling to this recipe. Gimme the couch. 
Ingredients:
iceburg lettuce - 1 head
tomatoes - 2 large
green onions - 2 sprigs chopped
cilantro - optional just for garnishing
black olives chopped - 2 cans
cheese - 1 block finely shredded mild cheddar
sour cream - 1 8oz. container
guacamole - 4 avacados or buy a container
lime - 1
ground round beef - 1 pound
onion - 1 small yellow onion chopped
cumin - 1/4 tsp.
oregano - 1/8 tsp.
cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp.
salt and pepper - for taste in the ground round beef
garlic salt - 1/4 tsp.
chilli powder - 1/8 tsp.
refried beans - 2 cans or make your own.
salsa - 1 Jar of your favorite salsa
Corn Tortillas - Two Bags or make your own. 2 packages fresh
oil - 1-1/2 cup for frying optional
butter - 2 Tablespoons
Prep Time: 20 minutes to prep vegetables /less than 20 minutes for putting this together
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
First take out a medium mixing bowl. Put all the spice ingredients, chopped onions in with the meat. Mix by hand and let it rest. Get out your frying pan and the butter. Cook the meat mixture until looks done to your preference. Drain the meat of it's fat. The meat cooking aroma is so yummy. Start preparing your vegetables by cutting them up small. Store them in plastic storage bags and put into the refrigerator. You will put this together before the party. If you have a glass bowl, this recipe looks fabulous. You will also seal tight the meat and re-heat before putting this together. Cook your beans on the day of your party. This recipe should be started one day ahead of the party.
The day to prepare this recipe. Use a large glass bowl or rectangle shape glass cookware. Take all of your ingredients out of the refrigerator. Start cooking your beans. Have all of your remaining ingredients on your counter ready to put together. First layer will be the beans so hurry up and get your beans ready. Next is the meat, then sourcream, guacamole (squeeze some lime on the guacamole so it won't go brown), salsa, lettuce, olives, tomato, cheese, and green onion. In another large bowl, put the corn torillas in. As a tip, you can heat-up your corn torillas and serve them warm. Serve when beans and meat are still warm and serve this fresh when your guest arrive. Garnish with Cilantro on top or just green onion.
