Question:I have a  Latitude D800 battery, i believe. I think there might be a problem with the AC port. It makes a high pitched noise and the only way to stop it is to have the cord plugged in a specific way. I bought a new cord for it and that didnt fix it. It has been like this for a few months and now the  Latitude CPi battery  light is either orange or flashing orange/green. I do not really want to call tech support because the last time I had a problem, they were as useful as a wet match in a dark cave.

  Answewr:your laptop battery is just dead you need to recharge it for 24 hours at least. try taking out the battery and just using the power cord then before you go to sleep plug in the battery it should work.
