Question:when i connect the power plug to the Dell laptop battery  and press the power button the laptop does not turn on. does the battery have to be charged? or can i just use the laptop with the power plug?

  Answer:you do not need the laptop battery  to used your laptop. something may be wrong with your adapter or power supply
